YOU CAN HELP.
Join us in-person or virtually on March 2, 2022, for our Annual Breakfast Fundraiser to raise awareness, understanding and support for urgent mental health issues that affect many of us personally, and all of us collectively.
This year our theme is “Together We Grow” because mental health is an issue that no one person or organization can tackle alone. When we work together and support one another, collectively we grow in our understanding and in our own mental health journey.
We’ll work together to raise money and advocate for change so everyone has a place to go and the support they need when they need it most.
YOUR VIRTUAL EXPERIENCE.
We are thrilled to offer a fun and unique virtual experience for guests joining us from throughout the province. You can take part in the event, virtually, in two ways:
1. Together We Grow Virtual Experience Package (limited quantity available)
Your event experience will begin with a locally curated event box being delivered to your door containing everything you need for the perfect breakfast and to set you up for a mini barista training experience! Our guest barista will walk you through making a delicious Dalgona coffee at home that you can sip on during the program while hearing inspiring words from our keynote speaker, Victoria Maxwell!

What are we fundraising for?
Today, someone in your community is desperate for support. Close to relapse. Alone, afraid, distressed, perhaps even having thoughts of harming themselves.
Together we can provide better access to the care they need to thrive.
From cutting edge brain stimulation equipment for the treatment of depression to the creation of Kickstand—a new integrated service for young people—past support has innovatively transformed mental health care across the province.
With your support, the Foundation can move quickly to respond to urgent need across the addiction and mental health care system. So no one ever has to face their mental health concerns alone.
Victoria Maxwell (BFA/BPP*) is a recognized international keynote speaker who uses her personal story of recovery from mental illness to increase awareness, transform negative beliefs and ignite powerful conversations about mental health.
Living with bipolar disorder, anxiety and psychosis, she’s a self-proclaimed Bipolar Princess and Wellness Warrior who uses a one-woman performance to share her story.
For 5 years after her initial diagnoses, she refused to accept she had mental illness. In turn, she was in and out of hospitals. After acknowledging her conditions, with the help of her family, a good psychiatrist and others, she became proactive in her recovery. She’s now a passionate advocate dedicated to helping others.
For the last 20 years, she’s helped audiences better understand the “insider’s” experience of mental illness and recovery; how to comfortably speak to someone who is struggling and how to create long-lasting wellness in a supportive environment. The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health named her a leader in mental health and her theatrical keynote “That’s Just Crazy Talk” has been rated one of the top anti- stigma interventions in the country. Her media appearances include CNN, the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal and Women’s Health UK. She can also be seen in season 2 of CBC TV’s series ‘You Can’t Ask That’.
She’s a core member of CREST.BD, a global research team studying bipolar disorder and has blogged for Psychology Today magazine for over 12 years.
